MIA

I know I have been missing in action for about a week but it really wasn’t by choice. I haven’t had any time to really crochet until Sunday. But I have had time to think about things to write about on two 12 hour long driving trips – I was driving. I kept wishing I could be the one in the passenger side just crocheting away, but I’m not sure my hamster, Strawberry, could reach the pedals. Hahaha….

Anyways, I have been working on my temperature blanket & my shawl. I hope to post about January’s squares for the temperature blanket once I get them finished – soon.

But, I have a gripe.  I love Pinterest. I go to that site still after 10 years looking for ideas. The thing that gets to me is when I go to someone’s blog & I can’t read or see anything because of the million pop-ups that come up. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for people making money but when I can’t even do anything on your site without having to constantly close windows, then I can tell you that I won’t be coming back & I will NOT be clicking on a link.  I’m not sure how many people actually click on links on other people’s sites. It must be many but I can probably count on one hand how many times I have actually clicked on a link – if that many.

So, what does this have to do with crocheting ?  A couple of things:

  1. I will never intentionally add ad links to my site. My provider might, but I won’t.
  2. I would really like to go to other site and get ideas, get instructions when they are posted, etc for new patterns without the millions of ads – knowing that when I do this, I always add a link back to that person’s site which would hopefully bring them more traffic.

Happy searching!!
