My newest project that I’m working on is a cuffed shawl. It’s from the pattern book, Cuffed Shawl and More by Leisure Arts. I’m using a size K 10.5 (6.5mm) hook with Lion Brand Yarn, Homespun, in the color Regency.
I was a little apprehensive in using this yarn because I had originally started to use a thick texture yarn for my mom’s cap around Christmas time, but because of the texture, it was hard for me to count the stitches. (BTW, Mom loved her gift!) This one is not bad at all. The below picture is the start of my first start of the shawl. It’s very easy – double crochet stitches mostly.
Wikipedia has a good list of the crochet hook sizes. I can never remember them, yet! Some of my hooks are in mm and some are in US size.
By the way, can I just say that I love Leisure Arts! I bought a lot of their eBooks over the Christmas holidays when their were running sales on everything. I have a HUGE collection of patterns to choose from on my iPads now! Looking forward to going thru some of those this year! Yea!!
